Gator Park Flamingo - They're Back!

Can't believe I've stayed away from this blog for so long.

My sister, Linda, went to Florida and brought me back this little cutie from Gator Park.

Stay tuned for more fun flamingos. . .

Happy New Year!

A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Lobby

NO - I am not in Miami. . .while on my way out for my mid-morning coffee, I ran into these guys - ALL over the lobby. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I was "without camera." "That's what friends are for."

Natch - I called on my trusty colleague, who is never without "digital," and he came to the rescue - Thanks, Jason - you rock.

Friendship

If a friend is in trouble, don't annoy him by asking if there is
anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it.

Tribute to Martha Mitchell

The last few weeks of the presidential campaign, has had many tongues wagging. . .I was speaking with my sister the other day and she mentioned Martha Mitchell. . .and that made me think. . .and "google," and well. . .here's to Martha Mitchell - from one "mouth" to another. . .May she rest in peace.

"I love its gentle warble,
I love its gentle flow,
I love to wind my tongue up
And I love to let it go."

Martha Mitchell (comments beside her picture in the yearbook from Pine Bluff High School)

Have a great weekend!

I Just Got Starbucked!!

I waited and waited for the BIG day which was supposed to happen today. Well, here it is and it was a surprise, but I feel cheated.

Starbucks promoted a "free 8 ounce cup of coffee," and what I got was a half-cup (approximately four ounces), which was on a tray outside the store on Drumm Street in San Francisco and "lukewarm" at best.

As you all know, I have been a HUGE Starbucks fan for years, however, with the price of gas - I think I'm going to start drinking McDonald's coffee which is very good.

I guess there is no such thing as a free cup of coffee. . .
